All our workshops are held at Château Haut Garrigue in South West France, 1 hour from Bordeaux, 15 minutes from Bergerac, 10 minutes from St Foy la Grande. For large groups Caroline can travel to you if you are based within a two hour radius of us.

The Tuesday Wine Workshop: a two hour introduction to French Wines, French Appellations and wine tasting at a working wine estate - €15.00 per person
This two hour introduction to wine-tasting is held at Château Haut Garrigue in South West France, every Tuesday 10 - 12.30 from May to mid September. It includes a copy of our guide to wine appreciation with ready reckoners to help you recognise varietals, age of wine and well-known appellations.
Structure of this wine course:
10am Arrive at Château Haut Garrigue: Introductions and overview
10.10 – 10.40 Wine types, varietals, geography and how our region compares to french regions
10.40 – 11.10 The theory of wine-tasting
11.10 - 12.00 The practical of wine-tasting – we taste 2 white wines, 2 red wines and one dessert wine that give a flavour of the region and its varietals
The minimum reservation is 2 people. This course is available from May though to September. Reservation is required (phone us on 0553227271 or email). Let us know if you would like us to book lunch for you at the excellent restaurant 10 minutes walk from us.

The Essential Wine Workshop: a half-day experiencial wine course - €29.00 per person including our wine appreciation guide
This class is organised for two to six people and can be taken at any time. Let us know what you want to learn about before you arrive and we will tailor the class to you - whether it is recognising varietals, learning more about french appellations, grand crus or allowing us free rein based on your input.
Structure of this wine-tasting Workshop (substitute times starting with 14.00 for afternoon workshops):

10.00-10.30 Introductions and overview
10.30 – 11.00 Wine types, varietals, geography, how our region compares to french and international wines, how to read french wine labels, french wine terms and more
11.00 – 11.30 The theory of wine-tasting
11.30 - 12.30 The practical of wine-tasting – we taste at least 6 wines
You depart with a copy of our wine appreciation guide.
