The perfect wine weekend: a delightful day discovering the intimacies of wine followed by a day visiting the Grand Cru Classés of Bordeaux.
Two days of vineyard learning and fun:
Arrive to welcome drinks at your luxury guest house then enjoy a delicious meal with your hosts
Day 1: The Complete Wine Workshop: an introduction to French Wine in the morning, a Wine & Food Pairing lunch followed by Winemaking in the afternoon. In the evening enjoy dinner and fine wines at your guest house or at a restaurant a short walk away.
Day 2: The Grand Cru Classé tour including lunch. Dinner at your guest house or at a restaurant a short walk away.

The Wine Geese Tour – 4 days/ 3 nights - from €649 per person sharing
During this luxury wine break you will stay on or near the Feely’s organic 'Wine Geese' estate, Chateau Haut Garrigue (Chateau Haut Garrigue, Wild Earth Vineyards), visit wine estates in the world famous Bordeaux region, attend a day class with lunch to learn the intimacies and mysteries of wine at our wine school and enjoy a discovery walk and picnic through an organic vineyard.
The package includes:
three nights accommodation at a luxury guest house or at Chateau Haut Garrigue’s organic ‘Wine Geese’ estate (see Chateau Haut Garrigue for your details of CHG's suite)
a tour through Bordeaux city on arrival - we will visit the sights of the city and Les Chartons, the famous wine quays that Irish Wine Geese made their home
a private dinner with winemakers Seán and Caroline Feely on your first night
a ‘slow food walk’ through the organic vineyard at Chateau Haut Garrigue (see bio for more on Garrigue's organic and biodynamics)

This Wine Geese experience assumes arrival at Bordeaux on Sunday afternoon and return to Bordeaux on Wednesday afternoon.
Relax and discover wine in France. This wonderful 4 day break is packed with vineyard and wine-related activities. The escape includes a vineyard and winery tour, wine-tastings, delicious food, a vineyard walk and charming accommodation.
The Wine Lover's Getaway itinerary:
Day 1: Arrive Bergerac or Bordeaux. Drive to Château Haut Garrigue. Welcome drinks with the owners, Seán and Caroline Feely, followed by a gourmet dinner at your Guest House.
Day 2: We suggest a visit to St Emilion (45 minutes drive from Saussignac), a beautiful medieval village and home to many Bordeaux Grand Crus or a self-guided walking tour of Bergerac’s ‘medieval quarter’ or ‘old town’ including the wine museum and the Maison des Vins. Lunch at a café in Bergerac. In the afternoon a tour of the vineyard at Chateau Haut Garrigue followed by an introduction to wine-tasting and a guided wine-tasting of the range. Dinner at a fine restaurant nearby.
Day 3: A day exploring the region's wines with a personal guide including visits to two wine estates. Lunch organised en route. Dinner at a local gourmet restaurant.
Day 4: Fly home.
