    Most of our classes can be taken at Château Haut Garrigue in South West France, 1 hour from Bordeaux, 15 minutes from Bergerac at any time. For classes in Ireland please click the last bullet for dates and to book your place.

    Introduction to French Wine: a two hour introduction to French Wines, French Appellations and wine tasting

    The winery at Chateau Cantemerle in the Medoc Discover the wine types, varietals and regions of France and experience the theory of wine-tasting through practical tasting of 2 white wines, 2 red wines and one dessert wine. The class includes a pocket guide with ready reckoners to help you recognise varietals, vintage and well-known appellations.

Caroline will demystify the grand cru systems of France, offer tips on where to find good value and you will taste six Grand Cru Classés including the premier grand cru classé Chateau Mouton Rothschild and great Irish-linked grand cru classés; Chateau Kirwan and Chateau Lynch-Bages. Price includes a pocket guide to French Grand Crus, tasting these exclusive wines and light snacks. This class is only available on set dates.
